Bergamot Essential Oil

Botanical Name: Citrus bergamia

There are many different species and varieties of plants, which can affect the properties or quality of an essential oil. Check the Botanical name or INCI name, this will help clearly distinguish an essential oil derived from one plant from other plants that share the same common name.

Uses & Benefits

Aromatically

Add Bergamot essential oil to a diffuser or tissue to enjoy this uplifting, fresh citrus scent. Great to use as a room or car freshener. Bergamot is also popular in blends.  

Skin

Balance and cleanse oily or acne prone skin by blending Bergamot essential oil with carrier oil and applying to desired area. (Caution: avoid strong sunlight when using bergamot oil on skin, phototoxic.) 

Tea

The use of Bergamot is more common than you think, blending bergamot oil with black tea, is how Earl Gray tea is created.
